I just talked to Lori Nickel at the Journal Sentinel about Ryan Grant’s hamstring. Nickel said: “Grant’s OK. I’d be more worried about KGB (knee) and A.J. Hawk (chest).” Grant is expected to make his preseason debut tonight against the Titans. For an exhibition we are unusually interested. We want to see Grant make a few cut-n-slash runs. If he looks sharp and suffers no setbacks we’ll re-boost his projections. If Grant just trots inside a couple times like a 7-on-7 drill and then leaves, he’ll stay at around #12 on our MVP Board. Bottom line: Exhibition or not, 2 carries for 3 yards won’t sell us.
